About Me

headshot4Hello! I’m Laura Donahue and I am the University Archivist for American Public University System located in Charles Town, West Virginia.

I oversee acquisition, arrangement, description, and management of the archives, with a strong focus on digitization and digital archives.

I attended the University of Glasgow’s Humanities Advanced Technology and Information Institute (HATII) with a Masters of Science in Information Management and Preservation.

As a History and Classics Major from the University of Mary Washington located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, I have always been fascinated with social history, focusing on women and gender studies as well as digital history. Although digital history and the digital humanities are rapidly developing, I feel that they are vital for the future success of any organization

In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, and trying new craft brews!

This site will highlight my projects and current interests in archives and records management.
