About Me

headshot4Hello! I’m Laura Donahue and I am the University Archivist for American Public University System located in Charles Town, West Virginia.

I have recently completed my course at the University of Glasgow with a Masters of Science in Information Management and Preservation to pursue my interest in archives and records management.

As a History and Classics Major from the University of Mary Washington located in Fredericksburg, Virginia, I have always been fascinated with social history, focusing on women and gender studies as well as digital history. Although digital history and the digital humanities are rapidly developing, I feel that they are vital for the future success of any organization

My MSc dissertation is an introduction of Linked Data to online Archives, with a focus on the importance of semantic web integration into the cultural heritage sector.

This weblog will highlight my projects and current interests in archive and records management.
